Keeping Australia Beautiful

Groups of Monadelphous volunteers gathered together for another year during August to support our ongoing efforts to Keep Australia Beautiful.

Massive thank you to those who took time out of their busy schedules to help clean up areas where we live, work and play.

We also acknowledge the continued efforts of our Gladstone Team and our Brisbane Office who got on board and hosted their own events. Other clean up events are still happening over the coming weeks, and it's fantastic to see such involvement across different locations.

The most unusual items collected this year include an air filter from a truck, old school stereo system, a soccer ball, crab pot components including float, and a computer hard drive.

"It is great to see how many people support this initiative as a way of giving back to the community and helping improve the environment at the same time. There is the added benefit of meeting new people year on year, coupled with the chance to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. These seemingly small contributions help us to maintain our mental health and wellbeing at work," said Jason Lamb, Group Manager HSE.

Our commitment to initiatives like this is part of our greater Community Engagement Plan, which focuses on supporting our people and the communities where we live and work.
